
Police spokesperson, Capt Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, and it overturned.
She says the deceased, who was the owner of a pawn shop in the city, died at the scene.
The injured were taken to a local hospital.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homocide.
The name of the deseased has not yet been released.
