The Democratic Alliance (DA) says it had a successful election campaign in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape.
The party has wrapped up its election campaign in the Metro.
DA national spokesperson Phumzile van Damme and mayoral candidate Athol Trollip wrapped up the campaign by visiting Zwide Township on Monday.
Van Damme said they are certain of victory in the local elections, reports SABC News.
“Candidate Athol Trollip has been on the campaign trail for 365 days. He has travelled to every corner of the city listening to the concerns of the residents and also going back to report back, so he’s the man that knows this city and knows what its problems are,” Van Damme said
“He has worked in conjunction with the people of this city to find solutions. Our message here as the DA is simple, we are not a party that is going to lie and come with big promises, we want to make sure we improve service delivery.”
