Rescue teams will return to the scene of a helicopter crash in Msikaba near Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape on Thursday morning to retrieve the bodies of four people in a river bed.
The R44 chopper is believed to have been flying from Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast when it went down into a ravine.
The police spokesperson, Mduduzi Godlwana says they encountered difficulty in reaching the area due to bad weather and steep cliffs.
“The police were informed that there was a helicopter that fell on the edge of the sea at Msikaba but it's very difficult to reach the place where the helicopter is.”
“We cannot even tell whom it belongs to and how many people are in the helicopter but we have informed our units. “
