PORT ELIZABETH - OPERATION LOCKDOWN NETS 6 CRIMINALS ACROSS PE IN ONE DAY

 

Operation Lockdown PE continues to yield positive results with arrests and the confiscation of stolen goods, firearms and drugs.

Six people were arrested yesterday, 23 August 2016.

Police followed up on information received and searched a house in Walmer location. Four suspects, aged between 23 and 29 years were arrested and computer equipment and cell phones were confiscated. Members also seized a revolver which was found in the house. The suspects were detained on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

Two suspects were arrested in separate incidents on charges of possession of drugs. The searches were conducted at houses in Jacksonville and Korsten. The suspects, aged 50 and 30 years old respectively, are expected to appear in court soon.

Twenty seven rolls of dagga was also found abandoned in Pienaar street Gelvandale.
