Flying Squad members chased hijacked car on the N2 last night, retaliated after several shots fired, suspect deceased.
Tuesday 13 September 2016, at 18:30 members of the Port Elizabeth Flying Squad in the Eastern Cape spotted a hijacked vehicle on the N2 and gave chase.
A shootout ensued after a suspect opened fire on the police members. The anti-hijacking police team joined in the chase which continued into the Motherwell area where the driver of the hijacked vehicle lost control over it opposite the Kinkelbos Police Station.
One suspect dead on scene. A firearm was recovered.
