PORT ELIZABETH - MOUNT ROAD POLICE ARREST 123 CRIMINALS THIS PAST WEEKEND

A total of 123 suspects were arrested during this weekend (11-14 November 2016) in the Mount Road policing cluster for various crimes. High density operations including were held in all areas within the cluster.

A total of 37 people were arrested on drug related cases. The Operational Command Centre Detective Tracing team also arrested 13 suspects for housebreaking and theft out of motor vehicles. One suspect is positively linked to 10 cases of theft out of motor vehicles which was mainly committed in the Humewood area.

Police are urging homeowners to be vigilant as we approach the festive season. Ensure that your house is well secured with strong burglar proofing and an alarm system that is connected to a security company. Always be alert and react to the slightest of noises that may be heard. Report any suspicions immediately to the police or the alarm company. With the support and involvement of the community, together we can ensure the safety and security needs of our communities.
