The fifth edition of the PE to Plett, South Africa's premier four-day mountain bike stage race got underway at Woodridge College just outside Port Elizabeth Thursday morning.
After four editions were held in September, each of which has endured challenging weather conditions such as wind, rain and mud, the event was moved to early March.
The event is seen as a warm up for the ABSA Cape Epic later in March.
