Working around the clock to secure the arrests of those responsible for the murder of a 12-year-old girl as well as the murder and attempted murder of two other males paid off when a total of 5 suspects were arrested this afternoon.At about 15:15, members of the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit (Gang Investigations) arrested a 21-year-old suspect affiliated to the NTB gang in Bardien Street for the alleged murder of Alvineesha Brookes (12).

Four other suspects aged 18, 21, 22 and 49 years old were also arrested in Buys Street for the alleged murder of Tavern Moss (25), attempted murder of the 16 year old teenager and 3 cases of malicious damage to property.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
