EASTERN CAPE - POLICE MAKE DAGGA DRUG BUST ON RHODES AREA FARM


 SAPS members of the Elliot K9 had a successful bust at Rhodes and managed to arrest a suspect with two bags of dagga and an unlicensed fire-arm.

On 2019/04/13 at about 20:00 Sgt Ntshanka and Sgt Nduku followed up positive information regarding a suspect on a farm in the Rhodes area. It is alleged that the suspect was dealing in dagga. The members then proceeded to the farm and searches the suspects’ premises where he is staying on the farm. On further investigation the members confiscated two large bags of dagga and an unlicensed firearm that was also found on the waist of the suspect when he was searched. The suspect was arrested for Possession of the unlicensed firearm and dealing in Dagga.

 The fire-arm a norinco 9mm, with 6 six live rounds of ammunition, and the 2 full bags of dagga were confiscated.

The Cluster Commander Colonel Matshediso Gezani commended the members on this excellent success. This is prove that criminals must not underestimate the power of the community working together with the SAPS in our smaller rural towns and farming communities.
