EASTERN CAPE - IMPORTANT NOTICE OF R72 ROAD CLOSURE TOMORROW

Please note that the road will be closed at Birah Bridge and the Peddie intersection tomorrow, 11 May 2019 from 07:00 to 12:00. The R72 road Section 3 (49.24km) to Section 4 (16km) between Birah River and Openshaw Village will be closed.

Vehicles travelling from East London to Port Alfred will be diverted to the N2 at the Peddie turn off. Vehicles travelling from Port Elizabeth/Port Alfred is also advised to use N2 (Port Alfred to Grahamstown then further on the N2) as they will only be able to go as far as the Birah River on the R72 were they will be stopped.
