Police in Uitenhage are investigating a case of murder after the naked body of an unknown woman was discovered in the bushes on Thursday morning.Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says a member of the community made the gruesome discovery in the bushes next to Ross Gradwell street and contacted police.
The unknown female had multiple scratch wounds on her body and it is alleged that she was dragged through the bushes.
Swart says initial reports indicate that she has been lying there for about one or two days.
A post mortem will now be done to establish the cause of her death.
Anybody who might be looking for a missing female relative is kindly requested to contact police.
The investigating officer is Detective Warrant Officer Deon Roos 079 896 8148.
