Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 30-year-old Remano van Wyk was killed in a shooting in Arcadia at around 20h30.He was standing in Yellowwood Street with two other people when shots were fired at them.
Van Wyk, who had no known gang affiliation ran towards the back of his shack where he collapsed and died.
Bethelsdorp police are investigating a case of murder.
