On Friday, 15 November 2019 at about 07:00, Lieutenant Colonel Jonas and 6 members from Willowmore Police Station along with 5 Provincial Traffic officials, were manning a roadblock on the N9 Road from Willowmore when they stopped and searched a truck.
Upon conducting a search in the truck, members found 23 bags of dagga hidden in the back of the truck.
The 54-year-old male was arrested and detained at Willowmore Police Station.
During the Operation the members searched 107 Vehicles, 348 Persons, issued 9 traffic fines at a Value of R 9300.
The objective of these operations are to ensure safer roads this festive season.
