Port Elizabeth police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found on the roof of a house in Greenfields on Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said that a homeowner reported hearing gunshots after 2 am and at the same time heard noises on the roof of his house in Dorfling Street.
“He did not go outside and instead this morning at about 07:00 went to investigate and found the body of an unknown male on his roof. The deceased sustained two gunshot wounds,” she said.
Naidu said the victim was in his thirties and that his identity is not yet known.
“Anyone who may be able to identify the deceased or may know his next of kin or any information relating to the murder is asked to contract /Sgt Tandiswa Nobebe on 067 403 1910 or SAPS Bethelsdorp on 041 404 3005 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” she said.
