Police in Algoa park are seeking public assistance in tracing a Port Elizabeth fisherman believed to be missing in Maputo.
According to police information, 59 -year-old Cornelius Johannes Van Der Westhuizen left about a year ago to work on fishing boats at Emapum Fishery at the Maputo harbour in Mozambique.
Police say Van Der Westhuizen was last in contact with his wife on the 30th of November, when his contract expired.
He was due to return to Port Elizabeth a few days later but failed to do so.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Constable Ashron Bergman at the Algoa park police station.
