Port Elizabeth police on Thursday said they managed to recover a vehicle that was hijacked in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, and abandoned in New Brighton.

It is alleged that two armed men forced their way into a home in Tati Street, KwaNobuhle, and held the owner at gunpoint before they demanded keys to a red VW Vivo, which they fled in.

A case of armed robbery and hijacking was opened at KwaNobuhle police station and police are now following up on leads.
