EASTERN CAPE - MINISTER OF WATER AFFAIRS, NOMVULA MOKONYANE HAS HER HOTEL ROOM RANSACKED

Today a case of burglary and theft has been registered after an unknown suspect broke into the room which the Minister of Water Affairs, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane occupied during a private visit to Mthatha.

It is alleged that the hotel security guard saw the Minister's window open and went to investigate. The Minister was alerted to this and it was discovered that her handbag with her Id and drivers licence, Iphone, Ipad, toiletries and the hotel TV were missing.

The TV and the Minister's toiletries were later recovered in the back of the hotel yard together with another TV which was also stolen from the hotel.

Crime scene experts were summoned to the scene to collect evidence.

No arrests have been made yet and anyone with information to please contact their nearest police.
