PORT ELIZABETH - WATER TANKERS INCREASED TO BRING RELIEF TO MOTHERWELL RESIDENTS

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality increased the number of water tankers to provide relief for Motherwell residents, as the planned installation of a bulk zone meter in the Markman Industrial area is anticipated to be completed later today.

Water supply to Motherwell NU2, NU3, NU4, NU5 and Ikamvelihle is disrupted due to the necessity to isolate the main supply from the Motherwell Reservoir to allow for the installation of the meter.

However plans to complete the work by end of business yesterday (Wednesday, 15 March), were thwarted to due to unforeseen delays.

In cases where water is urgently needed and tankers cannot be allocated, kindly contact the 24-hour call centre at 0800 20 50 50 for assistance.
