Willowvale Police arrested a 25-year-old man for alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl. It is alleged that the victim was raped on Saturday, 23 March 2019 at about 16h10 at Phezulu Locality, Nqadu Village, Willowvale.The victim reported the rape to her mother who quickly reported the rape case at Nqadu Frontline Satellite Police Station, Willowvale. The suspect was traced and arrested on the same date, Saturday 23 March 2019. He was charged with rape and is appearing before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court this morning of Monday, 25 March 2019 on a rape charge.
Butterworth Cluster Commander, Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu praised police for their swift actions in tracing and arresting the suspect.
