PORT ELIZABETH - SWARTKOPS POLICE SEEK FAMILY OF 2 HIT & RUN VICTIMS


Police in Swartkops are looking for the next of kin (family) of three deceased persons in three unsolved cases. In two of the cases, pedestrians died after being hit by vehicles traveling on the M17 road. In both cases culpable homicide cases were opened and the drivers charged.

On 25 November 2017 at about 20:45, the 65-year-old Wilton Caga Mgcini passed away after being hit by a vehicle on the M17 road close to Sasol garage, Motherwell. He was identified by finger prints, but to date no family could be traced to finalise the case.

On 25 June 2018 at about 21:00 an unknown adult female estimated to be about 50 years old, passed away on the scene, after being hit by a vehicle on the M17 road close to the M19 off ramp. She was wearing a blue jacket, pink jersey, blue shirt, blue jeans and pink slippers.
