EASTERN CAPE - NO ARRESTS AFTER WIFE IS MURDERED WHILE HUSBAND'S AWAY WITH SECOND WIFE


Centane Police are investigating murder of a 50-year-old woman. It is alleged that the woman was left at home by her husband on the evening of Tuesday, 17 September 2019, at Theko Fihla Locality, Tutura Village, Centane. The husband went to his second home with his other wife as he had two wives.

This morning at about 08:00, two young boys who were sent to the homestead of the 50-year-old wife, found the door broken. When the two boys entered, they saw the deceased with upper body injuries, already passed away. The boys called community members and the Centane Police were alerted.

No suspect(s) has been arrested for the murder yet. Anyone who can assist Centane Police with the investigation to contact Centane Police at 047 498 1096/073 288 0340 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.

Eastern Cape Police Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga has condemned the brutal murder of the defenceless woman. She vowed that Centane Police detectives will work around the clock to bring the suspect/s to book. The identity of the deceased will be withheld until all her relatives are officially informed of her murder.
