NELSON MANDELA BAY - WATER TANKERS DISPATCHED AS WATER DISRUPTIONS CONTINUE ACROSS THE BAY

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that the City is experiencing water shortages from the two major water supply systems, Churchill and Loerie.

The Churchill water is used to support the shortage of water from the Loerie Dam.

Unfortunately the chemical dosing pipeline is faulty and needs urgent replacement.

Maintenance teams are working into the night to replace the pipeline and it is anticipated that this will be completed by Saturday evening.

The affected areas are:
1. Western areas
2. Lorraine
3. Walmer & Walmer Heights.
4. Newton Park

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents of the current water tanker positions:

1 - Greenacres hospital
2 - Newton Park, SuperSpar
3 - Patterson School, Moore Dyke Road, Schauderville
4 - Greenshields Park bakery, Swallow Crescent
Three tankers are filling up, positions will be confirmed as more disruptions occur throughout the day.
