PORT ELIZABETH - VWSA HANDS OVER PPE'S AND TESTING LAB TO ASSIST WITH THE BAY'S BATTLE AGAINST COVID-19
Executive Mayor, Thsonono Buyeye and Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane attended the Eastern Cape / Government VWSA Laboratory and Personal Protection Equipment Handover Ceremony in Nelson Mandela Bay today.
Volkswagen donated and handed over PPEs and a testing labolatory to National Health Laboratory in Westbourne Road.
"I have no doubt that we will win this war and to do that we must continue to arm our front-line workers," said Mayor Buyeye.
The labolatory will assist to fast track the testing process for COVID-19.
"I am certain the greatest reward we can give VWSA is to use this donation effectively to preserve as many lives as possible during this pandemic, " said Mr Mabuyane.
This donation is extremely important for the province and more importantly, the Nelson Mandela Bay as it is the epicenter of the virus.
