UITENHAGE - AUTHORITIES SEARCH FOR NEXT OF KIN OF GREENFIELDS MURDER VICTIM

The South African Police Service in Kamesh are urgently trying to locate the next-of-kin of an unidentified man.



On Sunday, 14 June 2020 at about 15:30, the body of an unknown male, presumably in his late thirties, was found with a stab wound to this neck in Dembo Street, Greenfields, Uitehage. 

According to police information the man was on his way home, when an argument broke out between the victim and two suspects. 

It is alleged that a suspect then stabbed the victim in his neck and he passed away at the scene. 

The unidentified man was clothed in a black and blue top, a blue workers pants with wording “CRSAM” printed on and a black cap. 

He is about 1.70m in height and weighs about 75kg. 

It is further alleged that the victim might be from the East London area and is known as ‘Freddie Nthuli’ but it could not be confirmed.  

Kamesh Police are investigating a case of murder and a suspect was arrested.

 Police is appealing to anyone who can assist in identifying the victim or anyone who might be looking for a relative who may be missing to contact Detective Warrant Officer Marlin van Heerden on 082 441 7624, SAPS Kamesh detectives on 041 988 8200 or the nearest police station.
